Copper, found on I-75 by Eric (Staff)
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Noel, young cattle dog in Douglasville, GA
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009This is the info I received:
“Hey Everybody,
This past Sat,. I was at the Douglasville animal control this picking up two senior dogs for their foster homes. While I was filling out the paperwork for them, two men walked in carrying this sweet little bundle. They said that they had almost run over her and thatthey were bringing her in because they lived in an apartment that didn’t allow dogs. The shelter intake director explained to them that although this was not their dog, he was obligated to tell them that she would immediately be put to sleep because the puppy room was quarantined and the adult kennel was full. The director said that 35 dogs came in after the holidays and that there was absolutely no room. The men said that they had no choice and that they wanted to release her to them regardless. Of course, I couldn’t let that happen, so after many promises to my husband that we would not add to our six dog household, I brought her home. I have taken her to the vet and have had her first round of puppy shots and she is said to be in excellent health. The vet said that she is about 12-weeks old and weighs about 12 pounds. I can’t tell you how sweet, affectionate and calm she is! I don’t even have to walk her on a leash in our quiet neighborhood. She is right at my feet as that is where most cattledogs like to be. As mentioned, I have six dogs who are now acting very needy, jealous and ornery to each other now that they know another little being is in the house. Please help spread the word about this sweet girl who will instantly become a wonderful addtion to any family! I will send a second round of pictures in another email. Now is the perfect time for little Noel to spread some joy into someone’s home. Thanks! Tracy 404-545-0603″
